Hey folks~
This afternoon, I went out for my second real bike ride of the year! It was an irresistable 40 degrees and sunny... which produced a plentitude of puddles for rooster-tailing! On the way out, the miles were whizzing by. It wasn't until we (Matt and I) turned around that we realized what that a gustful tailwind had been pushing us along. Needless to say, the ride back reminded me of the tough side of cycling. Ah tylenol! How I love thee. Now it's off to have some fun before resting up to do it again!
G'night~

Post Num-burrrrr 1!
Let's see.... a lot has happened in the last week or so... Most excitingly-- On Monday, I received a call offering me a leadership position on one of the tours! I was really really really hoping to get the position and the suspense of the hiring decision had been building for a few months, so I couldn't be happier with the news! As it turns out, because of hiring logistics, I've switched routes and will now be pedaling a more central route, from Boston to Santa Barbara. I'm most looking forward to going through the wild wild (south) west of our great nation and passing by the Grand Canyon!!
With the countdown to this awesome time nearing the double digits (we're at 106 days!), pre-ride prep is really starting to pick up. I'm proud to say I've made it to the gym 10 of the last 14 days which is quite the feat when a hilly and chilly ten-minute scurry stands between us. Most of all though, I cannot wait to bike out in the open air on that shiny new Giant Defy 2! There were some puddles forming today, so I sense that the time is drawing near......!!
Anyway, it's time to stop daydreaming and get back to this college stuff. There's a stack of bio notecards loitering around my desk waiting to be studied.
